BlackBox Music & Arts Homeschool Enrichment Program

Music, Voice Acting & Art | 9 am to 12 pm
Classes start September 7, 2026

Music, Art, Acting & more designed for homeschool families, scheduled during your school day.

At BlackBox, your homeschool student gets more than lessons. They get a creative community, real performance experience, and a place to grow into their own artistic voice — all during the hours that work for your family. Use our curriculum or bring your own. We'll do our best to meet your needs.

Built Around Your Schedule. Built Around Your Kid.

Most enrichment programs are designed for kids who come home at 3 pm. We're designed for families who are already home. Our Homeschool Day classes run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 9 am and 2 pm — so arts education fits naturally into your school week, not around it.

SMALL CLASS SIZES: We keep groups small (typically 3–10 students), so every child gets individual attention, and every instructor gets to actually know your kid. No one gets lost in the crowd here.

Class availability is subject to minimum/maximum enrollment. If enrollment has not reached the minimum requirement prior to the start of class, participants will be contacted and offered additional options. Relatedly, if the class has reached maximum enrollment, the session will show as “closed.”

We're a great fit if:

We didn't build BlackBox to be another lessons studio. We built it to be a creative space — eclectic, performance-forward, and genuinely exciting for the kid who doesn't quite fit the mold. The name BlackBox comes from the world of experimental theatre: a flexible, intimate space where anything can happen.

That spirit is in everything we do. Your child won't just practice scales or copy a painting. They'll make things. Original things. And twice a year, they'll share those things with an audience. That experience — of creating something and putting it in front of people — is what builds real confidence.

The BlackBox Difference

Q: Do my kids need any experience to enroll? Absolutely not. We meet our students where they're at. Most of our classes are built for beginners. We'll meet your child exactly where they are.

Q: What ages do you serve? Our Homeschool Day Program is tailored to ages 5 through 12. Ages 13 to 17 are welcome to attend private classes during that time.

Q: Are classes during school hours? Yes. Our Homeschool Day classes run Monday–Thursday between 9am and 2pm, specifically to fit the homeschool schedule.

Q: Can siblings take different classes at the same time? Yes — and they get a 10% sibling discount. Many families drop off two or three kids simultaneously.

Q: What is the BlackBox Showcase? Twice a year, all students perform or exhibit their work — a live performance for music, acting, and voice students, and a gallery-style showing for art students. It's the centerpiece of everything we do.

Q: What if we need to cancel or change a class? We're month-to-month with no long-term contracts. You can adjust, pause, or cancel enrollment with notice. No penalty, no pressure. However, we do not make up or give monetary credit for missed classes.

Q: Do you follow a homeschool co-op model? We're an independent studio — not a co-op — but we can actively partner with local homeschool groups and co-ops, including FEAST members. We also offer group rates for co-ops enrolling 8 or more students.

Q: Is BlackBox Music & Arts an accredited school?
No. BlackBox Music & Arts is a homeschool enrichment program that provides arts education and elective learning opportunities. We're here to complement and enhance your homeschool experience, but parents remain responsible for their students' overall homeschool education and compliance with Texas homeschool requirements.

Q: Where are you located
